91st Christmas

For larger image click on picture.

This is Christine, daughter of Norway. 91 pretty well lived years. A grand old gal.

I have known Christine since I was in high school, some forty plus years. Her daughter, Anita, and I have been friends all that time.

This may be her last Christmas. Her Alzheimers is quite far advanced. but she had a good Christmas. To make it even more special, last night she remembered going to Rocky Point for our afternoon dinner and thanked Anita. For those of you who have made the "long goodbye," you will know how meaningful that was.

John, thanks for sharing the story. I wonder what that picture would look like in B&W with a sepia toning ... hmmm
