Holy Cow, This is Great!

Many thanks to Polly at a funk diddy for her great help in making this change.

I can not believe Blogger could be made to look like this. It is 1:30 AM PDT and I'm still messing with this, rearranging panels and resizing images. I could not be more pleased.

Alcatraz - Another Film Image from the Portfolio

For larger image click on picture.

Son Will and I paid a visit to Alcatraz a few years ago on one of their evening tours. For anyone who wants to go to the infamous prison, I would suggest this sunset trip into the weird. By the time you are done you will feel up close and personal with The Birdman, Al Capone, Alvin (Creepy)Carpis and the rest of its famous inmates.

Dresss warm, I thought I was going to freeze. that July night.

A Celebration of Light and Grace

I have been feeling in a dark place for awhile now, as Winston Churchill called it, "the black dog" of depression.  This has been something of a lifelong recurrent issue for me.  So last night I struck one small blow against the darkness, and here it is.

Red Sky in the Morning, Sailor Take Warning

This is the sort of thing you see when you are up in the morning after working all night.

Sure enough, it's raining.

Dusk at San Francisco

For larger image click on picture.

I was on my way to Sacramento last Friday and crossing over The Bay Bridge at dusk. I decided to stop off on Treasure Island as I have been wanting to try out some night shots with the Rebel. Fortunately I had my tripod with me. Not bad all things considered.
