The variety of plants that grow along the cliffs next to the sea is just amazing. Even on the rocks things take root, in this case a succulent. In other areas it is wild flowers of all descriptions. Ice plants are widespread. These latter plants are not native and there is a concerted effort to get rid of them. The botonists seem a bit xenophobic to me :)

Life has the indelible trademark of doing what it wants when it wants. All we have to do is adapt to fit the formula and fit the packaging.
Interesting to hear of the efforts to remove the Ice plant by botanists. Is that because of a conflict of nature with other native spieces of plant life?

I love to see things like that. If it weren't for our constant "maintenance", Nature would just reclaim all that is rightfully hers. It's amazing how many places you see new plant life starting. "Just say no to tofurkey! No tofu!" :-)
