Today I was "down valley" on a bit of business. I stopped by the old Soledad Mission. There is a lady there who owns the farm next door. She has made it her purpose in life to tend to the mission's roses.Here is an image of one of her roses and her farm as seen from the mission.
This is just one more lesson in "have your bag in the car." There are always opportunities to shoot. Today was no exception.

BTW, did I ever tell you that I have been to Salinas several times? Donica's mom lived there for years before she moved to GA in 2003. She is now deceased but her Salinas memory lives on!
