This is the same type of lens, 20-35mm, I failed to win on e-bay yesterday. As fate would have it, there was another one available today albeit without a hood or UV filter. The bidding was stuck at $177 about an hour before close. This time I was even smarter :) I set my max bid at $211, not $210.

Now it's not the L Series my son got, but for $200 it's pretty darn good. It's fairly fast at 3.5-4.5 and has a 77mm front glass with a diaphram that reduces flaring.

Boys and their toys! :-) Congratulations on the win! Happy shooting. I love to see the UPS person show up at my door. It's almost like getting a present, albeit, one that I have to pay for myself!
