Rainbow Over Route 1

For larger image click on picture.

I had to put this up. It's not a great picture, but it sure is a great rainbow. It took my breath away.

After Christmas shopping today I set off down Route 1 following a break in the storms and squals. This time of year can render up some great scenes along the coast. I stopped at one of my favorite spots and noticed people pulling off the road and gaping back to the north from where I was coming. I looked to see what they were all looking at, and oh my gosh!

I have never seen anything quite like this.

Oh! I am envious!!! Can you see the green glow all the way from CA? :-) I just love those PCH shots and this one takes the cake! Great shot, John.

Did something special happen when you drove underneath it? (a shower of Canon lenses falling from the sky or anything like that?)

Hey John, funny you say it's not a great picture, I think it's very nice! It's well composed, interesting, has movement to it with the power lines and road. And that rainbow! PERFECT! Sometimes everday ordinary is extrodinary!

You're getting awfully good these days! Love the newest stuff up.
