Pretty, I think clouds in a sunset are a must! I can hear the seabirds, and the waves :)

Cold blustery evening out at Pacific Grove tonight. We have out first weather system of the season pushing in. The is a winter storm watch out in the Sierra above 7000 feet. The clouds are evident in this shot. There was a break between the clouds and the sun obligingly passed through the gap on its way to the horizon. And there I stood shaking next to my tripod.

I shot this in RAW but forgot to reset the white balance from tungsten. Happily that is not a problem in RAW. In JPEG I would have been stuck with the garish blue of tungsten.

Ah yes the dreaded I forgot to reset the WB moment.
Its worse MJ when you don't even check you display screen and go with the settings you have thinking you set up and what?
You get home, PC on and start uploading, viewing images in editor and "WHAT THE!" You'd think I would have learnt by now 8)
Magestic sunset MJ, they ususaly appear the nest just before a storm here in Aotearoa, I wonder if there's any similarities to be had?

Nah, you wouldn't have been stuck with blue, you would have just had to have added a photo filter. I've done it before.

Beautiful sunset. So, you were shivering. Was it cold? It doesn't take much for you Californians to get cold, though. What was it about 70 degrees? ;-)
