The eastern section of The Bay Bridge, a part of which which famously collapsed in the 1988 earth quake, is being replaced. The new structure is massive. At the same time, it is also quite beautiful. While on Treasure Island, which sits in the middle of San Francisco Bay and anchors the bridge, I wandered down to the construction site and shot a number of exposures a few of which I will post over the next few days.
